Gentleman Broncos Having never been a huge fan of Jared Hess'other efforts, Napoleon Dynamite or Nacho Libre,
Gentleman Broncos is a fantastic romp about a washed-up sci fi writer who steals a brilliant story from a fan who attends
one of his writng work shops. Jermaine Clement as Ronald Chevalier is hilarious as the struggling with writers block sci fi
writer. While Michael Aragano plays Benjamin who penned the stolen tome. His character is the ultimate story of hero worship
and has a hard time living with the fact that his story was ripped-off. His frustrations play out brilliantly as Chevalier
shuns his plagirism claims at every turn. Definatley the first Hess movie that bigangyrnate.com can wholeheartedly recomend
as a purchase. One caveat though, the BluRay is pretty sad in terms of extras. So save the cash and get the DVD. Neither come
with Digital Copy. There's a good chance that will all Hess movies there'll be Deluxe/Ultimate/Collectors version coming.

Lord Of The Rings Trilogy BluRay Wow, what goddamned disapointment! The theatrical versions come to BluRay with nary a mention of the Extended Versions.
So while this was one the best trilogies ever. I can't say that ANYONE needs to buy this. Rent it on On Demand, XBOX LIVE
or Playstation Network if you need to see the Peter Jackson/Tolkein masterpiece. It's clear that New Line Cinema with its
various iterations of triology on DVD intends to nickel and dime the rabid fanbase. Yeah, it comes with Digital Copy and new
special features, but without the Extended Versions it's really only worth a a viewing. However, the HD transfer is stunning.
These movies were some the best looking before the advent of HD and BluRay so I guess if you'd like to see some of the most
beautiful cinematography ever, it's definatley worth a view!

Real Ultimate Power: The Official Ninja Book by Robert Hamburger This is one of the easiest and most funny reads since Maddox's Alphabet Of Manliness.
There both in the same vein, but as you'd expect this one is fully devoted to one becoming the ultimate ninja. It's totally
tongue-in-cheek and totally hilarious. I had to put it down on several occasions just to stop laughing so I could remember
what I was reading. It's not Infinite Jest or anything like that. But if you'd just like a good time and a few hundred great
laughs this one will easily keep you turning the pages!!!!!!

Well, Netflix is felxing its VOD muscle. It's not just for PCs and XBOX 360s
anymore. Aside from TiVo many BluRay players and network capable HDTVs come with functionality. However, the addition of PS3
and Wii pretty much solidifes Netflix as premiere movie delivery service, either physical DVDs/BluRays or VOD service. Once
they can figure out a way to do some new releases (not TV series') they may just own BOTH markets. So far, they've managed
to stray away from the we rule the world attitude that companies like Ticketmaster and GameStop have implemented. If
they can do that Netflix may be the first likeable monopoly/empire in history!!!!!!
